Knowledge Centre on Nutrion Learning Behaviour

Who are we?
The Knowledge Centre on Nutrition, Learning and Behaviourí is a co-operation between several prominent Dutch Universities, Research Institutes (both public and private) and Governmental institutions that play leading roles with regards to Nutrition, Health and Learning.

Our belief
We have found many indications that a healthy, well balanced eating habit & lifestyle has a positive impact on learning- (and physical) performance and behaviour. At the moment there is a big gap between existing research and best practices in this field. We focus on closing this gap.

Initial research program
We start with a randomised controlled field experiment, which will study the effects of offering well balanced school lunches to children in group 7-8 (age 10 and 11). We look at the effects on learning and (social) behaviour aspects, also directly related to cito scores. However, we assume that several aspects are of interest for all age groups.
